Product detailed description

Mungo bean seeds for microgreens and sprouting

Mung beans are probably the best-known type of bean and most people use them mainly for sprouting. However, these beans can also be successfully grown as microgreens. In the form of sprouts and as smaller shoots, they have a sweet taste similar to peas, and with further growth they begin to turn slightly bitter.

Whether you decide to consume them as sprouts or as microgreens, mung bean shoots can boast an above-average profile of nutrients and other beneficial substances for the body. They are a source of protein, fibre and enzymes, contain folic acid, vitamins (A, B1, B2, C, E) and minerals (potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, iron). They have anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effects and help prevent the development of tumours. Thanks to their ability to regulate blood pressure and cholesterol levels, they contribute to the prevention of heart attacks and vascular diseases. Last but not least, they stimulate the development of intestinal microflora and improve digestion.
