It is precisely the extreme concentration of nutrients that makes the nutrition of the Dutch brand Metrop stand out. Since its inception, it has followed its own path, which is especially close to home hobby growers, gardeners and farmers.
For the development of basic and supplementary plant nutrition, this company has its own separate laboratories.
Metrop is based on a philosophy drawn from many years of experience: for different substrates (soil, coconut, rockwool etc.) it is enough to use one proven and universal basic fertiliser, whose dosing covers the difference between a larger or, conversely, smaller amount of nutrients that the plant needs for its development in the chosen growing medium. For example, it is able to absorb a certain part of nutrients naturally from soil, and therefore it is no longer necessary to fertilise with such intensity as, for example, in the case of coconut.
The fertilisers contain a high proportion of NPK relative to volume. Given the high overall concentration of nutrients, they need to be dosed very carefully. At the same time, you do not need to be put off by the higher price! So do not be put off by the higher price. Compared with ordinary products, this nutrition lasts many times longer, so its purchase price is at least offset by its above-standard strength and effectiveness. In addition, it is gentle on plants and the environment, and you will not find any heavy metals or cadmium in it.

What is the difference between Metrop MR1 and MR2?
MR1 is a basic fertiliser for the growth phase and the start of flowering, containing pure N, P, K and trace elements. MR2 is intended for the flowering phase and fruit development. During the cycle, you therefore switch from MR1 to MR2.
What is Metrop Calgreen used for?
Calgreen is a supplementary nutrition with amino acids and vitamins for the growth and flowering phases. It supports plant health and resilience and complements the basic fertilisers MR1 and MR2.
Why are Metrop fertilisers dosed drop by drop?
Metrop has an exceptionally high nutrient concentration, so small doses are enough. That is why the nutrition lasts longer than ordinary products - but it is necessary to dose carefully and follow the Metrop tables to avoid overfeeding.
Can Metrop be used on any substrate?
Yes. The brand's philosophy is one universal basic fertiliser for soil, coconut and rockwool. You balance the difference between media by adjusting the dosing - in soil you fertilise less intensively than in coconut.
