Metrop RhizoXtrem, now sold under the current name GreenXtrem, is a highly concentrated seaweed-based stimulator for both the growth and flowering phases. It is for growers who want to support roots, speed up photosynthesis and provide the plant with natural growth hormones - in soil, coco and hydroponics. RhizoXtrem and GreenXtrem are one and the same product, just under the older and newer name.

What Metrop RhizoXtrem can do

The active ingredient is an extract from the Atlantic seaweed Laminaria digitata, rich in iodine, alginates, oligosaccharides and natural growth hormones (phytohormones). The seaweed supplies macroelements, microelements, vitamins and enzymes that increase the biological availability of nutrients. In the plant, this strengthens cell resistance, stimulates the growth of fine hair roots, speeds up photosynthesis and supports the formation of sugars in flowers and fruits. It also helps stressed plants back into condition. Note: this is a different type of seaweed from Kelpak (Ecklonia maxima) in the MAM8 fertiliser.

Why the concentrate is worth it

RhizoXtrem is a highly concentrated product, and that is exactly where its value lies: from one litre you can mix roughly 2,000 litres of ready-to-use nutrient solution, so even a smaller bottle lasts for many growing cycles and, when converted per litre of nutrient solution, it is one of the economical additives in the range. It is dosed constantly throughout the entire cycle - we recommend 30 ml per 100 l of water from the start of growth. For soft or RO water, go to the upper limit (around 3 ml per 10 l); for harder tap water, less is enough (around 1.5 ml per 10 l). The preferred pH is 5.4-5.8, in hydroponics and coco 5.5-5.8, in soil 5.8-6.

What to combine RhizoXtrem with

RhizoXtrem does not replace the root stimulator Metrop Root+; it is an extra booster - Root+ builds roots at the start, while RhizoXtrem adds seaweed hormones and resistance throughout the entire cycle. It pairs perfectly with the enzymatic Metrop Enzymes: both additives are used at a constant dose and together keep the root zone clean and active. In the growth phase, combine it with the base Metrop MR1.

Frequently asked questions

Are RhizoXtrem and GreenXtrem the same?

Yes. GreenXtrem is the current product name, RhizoXtrem (formerly also Rhizoxtreme) is its older designation. It is one and the same Metrop seaweed product; the manufacturer has simply renamed it. If you know it under the old name, you are looking for the correct product.

Does RhizoXtrem replace the Root+ root stimulator?

No, RhizoXtrem does not replace Root+; it complements it. Root+ is the basic root stimulator for the start of cultivation, while RhizoXtrem is a seaweed booster that adds phytohormones, resistance and better nutrient uptake throughout the entire cycle. For a stressed plant, you can add it until it recovers.
