Maxibright Varidrive 3.0 720W: the most efficient 720W for a large tent

Varidrive 3.0 720W is a full-spectrum grow LED light for growers who want to illuminate an area of 1.2x1.2 to 1.5x1.5 m with the lowest possible running cost. It delivers 2160 µmol/s at an efficiency of 3.0 µmol/J - that is the top of the Varidrive range. Six foldable LED bars and the integrated driver make the light a plug and play solution that you simply hang up and connect.

Efficiency of 3.0 µmol/J and full spectrum

An efficiency of 3.0 µmol/J means that from every watt you get more usable light than with older Varidrive generations - with the same consumption, more PPF, and therefore a lower running cost. The full spectrum guides plants from vegetative growth through to flowering without the need to change the light source. Passive cooling keeps operation quiet and free of moving parts.

Integrated driver - plug and play

Unlike the original Varidrive 720W, this light does not need an external ballast - the driver is built directly into the body. Installation is therefore simpler: hang it up, plug it into the mains and go. Six foldable LED bars make handling and hanging easier, and the low 4 cm profile fits even in a tent with limited height.

Dimming and control via RJ port

You can regulate the output with the integrated dimmer in the range of 25-100 %. The RJ port allows you to connect an external controller and manage the light centrally - time it, set sunrise and sunset simulation, or protect plants by dimming according to temperature. Does Varidrive 3.0 720W need an external ballast?

No. The driver is integrated directly into the body of the light, so you do not need to buy any external ballast. You hang the light on the supplied brackets, plug it into the mains and set the output with the integrated dimmer. That is the main difference compared with the original Varidrive 720W, which was powered by a separate ballast.

How does the 3.0 version differ from the older Varidrive 720W?

Varidrive 3.0 720W has an integrated driver and higher efficiency of 3.0 µmol/J with a PPF of 2160 µmol/s. The original Varidrive 720W reaches 1870 µmol/s at 2.6 µmol/J and is powered by an external ballast. The 3.0 version therefore gives more light from every watt and is easier to connect.

What area is the 3.0 720W enough for?

The light is designed for an area of 1.2x1.2 to 1.5x1.5 m. In a smaller tent it will light with reserve, and you can reduce the output with the dimmer; at 1.5x1.5 m you use the full 720 W. Six foldable LED bars make hanging and handling in the tent easier.
