What pH of nutrient solution to choose?

Which pH should you choose? In general, for a nutrient solution, a ph between 5.5 - 7 pH is recommended, but which is best?

The question has several answers:
- in soil, or substrate, you should maintain PH between 6.2 - 7.0 pH
- in coco, choose a value between 5.7 - 6.3 pH
- in hydroponics, choose pH between 5.5 - 6.3 pH

Why these values?
Because within the range of 5.5 - 7 Ph, the most important elements the plant needs dissolve best in the solution, and it can therefore obtain the most of them from the nutrient solution. See the image.

GOLDEN RULE - Keep pH stable, even if you are slightly outside the optimal range. Constant changes in pH cause shocks to the plant and it absorbs nutrients much more slowly than at stable pH, even if not completely ideal. It is therefore better to have stable pH than fluctuations around the ideal value.

For measuring pH, you can use our range of pH meters.
