Canna Silica - silicon for stronger, more resilient and stable plants

Canna Silica is a premium supplement containing highly available silicon, which helps plants build stronger cell walls, sturdier stems and more resilient leaf structures. This enables the plant to cope better with stressful conditions such as heat, drought, wind, high humidity or rapid growth in intensive growing systems.

Silicon is not a conventional base fertiliser, but a very important supportive element. After being absorbed, it is deposited in plant tissues and helps create a stronger natural plant structure. The result is more stable growth, better water management and an overall more vigorous plant.

Why use silicon when growing

In modern growing, especially in coco, hydroponics and intensive systems, plants may not have access to sufficient easily absorbed silicon. Canna Silica provides plants with a stable source of this element in a readily usable form, which is particularly important during phases of rapid growth when new leaves, stems and other plant tissues are forming.

Regular use helps plants grow more strongly and evenly. Silicon does not eliminate stress, but it helps the plant respond better to conditions that could otherwise cause weakening, wilting or poorer overall development.

Dosage and use

The recommended dosage is 1-2 ml of Canna Silica per 1 litre of water.

Always add Canna Silica first to clean water. Then adjust the pH to approximately 6.5-7, followed by the base fertilisers and other additives. Finally, check the pH and adjust it to the required value, usually between 5.2-6.2 depending on the growing system used.

For the best results, use regularly throughout the entire growing cycle. Do not use simultaneously with PK additives, such as Canna PK 13/14.

Silica is often part of water supplements together with Calmag Agent and can be combined with the base fertiliser from the same range, such as Terra Vega or Coco A+B.

Storage

Store sealed in a cool, dark and frost-free place. Protect from heat, frost and direct sunlight. The recommended storage temperature is 10-35 °C.

How and in what order should Silica be dosed?

Add it first to clean water (1-2 ml/l), adjust the pH to 6.5-7, then add fertilisers and additives, and finally check and adjust the pH to 5.2-6.2 according to the growing system used.

Can Silica be combined with PK 13/14?

No, Canna Silica is not recommended for simultaneous use with PK additives such as PK 13/14.
