Product detailed description
Advanced Hydroponics Dutch Formula Micro is a fertiliser for hydroponics and for all other substrates - the third of three components that are dosed into one feed. Unlike Grow and Bloom, it does not stop at the end of one phase: at a low dose it runs from the first week of growth until the eleventh week of the cycle, so in both growth and bloom.
What Micro really contains
Micro is not just a trace element supplement. Alongside iron, manganese, zinc, boron, molybdenum and copper, it contains 4.5 % nitrogen, 6.0 % potassium oxide and 6.0 % calcium oxide - of the whole Dutch Formula trio, it has the most nitrogen, more than Grow and Bloom. The micronutrients are in chelated form and are accompanied by pH buffers.
When and how much to dose
In the first week, 0.5 ml per litre; from the second to the tenth week, 1 ml; in the eleventh, back to 0.5 ml. That is where Micro ends - the last two weeks of the cycle are for flushing, when only Final Solution is added to the water. It is added to the feed as the last of the three components: first Grow, then Bloom, and finally Micro, mixing after each bottle.
pH is measured only in the finished solution and should be in the range 5.8 to 6.2. The table doses are based on an inert medium and water with an input conductivity of around 0.5 mS; in soil, reduce them by half. Over the whole cycle, 10 ml of Micro is used per litre of weekly feed. Shake the bottle before use.

Frequently asked questions
Is Micro just a micronutrient fertiliser?
No. Chelated micronutrients with pH buffers are its main content, but the analysis on the label also lists 4.5 % nitrogen, 6.0 % potassium oxide and 6.0 % calcium oxide. Of the Grow, Bloom and Micro trio, it even has the most nitrogen. So it is not just a trace supplement, but a fully-fledged third component of the basic nutrition.
Do I have to dose Micro during bloom too?
Yes. Micro runs in the table throughout the whole cycle until the eleventh week, unlike Grow, which is phased out and removed during bloom. In the main part of bloom, dose 1 ml per litre, in the eleventh week 0.5 ml. The last two weeks before harvest are for the final flush, and Micro is not dosed then.
Is Micro suitable for hydroponics?
Yes, it is designed for all substrates including hydroponic systems, coco and soil. The dosing differs only in soil, where half doses are used. If you are just putting together your nutrition and do not want to buy bottles separately, the whole trio plus four supplements is also included in the Advanced Hydroponics Starter Kit.
Exact dosing for individual lines can be found in the Advanced Hydroponics dosing table.
