Product detailed description
Advanced Hydroponics Dutch Formula Bloom is the basic flowering fertiliser - the second of the three components that are dosed into one feed together. It is in the solution from the first week, but at first only in a small amount; as it moves into the twelve-hour regime, its dose increases and from the fourth week it is the highest of the whole trio. It reaches a peak of 3 ml per litre in the seventh to tenth week. It is mineral, fully water-soluble and works in soil, coco and hydroponics.
How much Bloom to dose week by week
In the first week of growth, 0.5 ml per litre, in the second and third, 1 ml. After switching to flowering, you go to 2 ml per litre and from the seventh to the tenth week to 3 ml - that is the highest dose you will see in the whole trio. In the eleventh week, you drop to 1.5 ml and Bloom ends there. The last two weeks are for flushing, when only Final Solution is added to the water.
It is always dosed into water, never one concentrate into another, and the order is fixed: Grow, Bloom, Micro, with stirring between bottles. Use a pH metre only on the finished solution, the target is a range of 5.8 to 6.2. The table doses are set for inert media and for water with an initial conductivity of around 0.5 mS; in soil, reduce them by half.
Bloom, or a flowering additive?
Bloom is a basic fertiliser, not an additive. It supplies the nutrients on which flowering depends, and in the range there is nothing to replace it with: Advanced PK, Flowering Boost and Growth/Bloom Excellarator are additives that are added on top of Bloom. If something is not right during flowering, look for the problem first in the basic trio and in the pH of the feed, and only then add an additive.

Frequently asked questions
When should I start with Bloom?
Right in the first week, just at a low dose of 0.5 ml per litre. Bloom is not a fertiliser that only starts with the light regime - in the table it runs from the beginning and its dose gradually increases. The jump comes in the fourth week, that is, with the switch to the twelve-hour regime, when you go to 2 ml per litre.
Can I dose Bloom without Grow and Micro?
We do not recommend it. The basic Dutch Formula nutrition has three components and all three go into the same feed. The ratio between them changes week by week in the official table. Bloom alone will not provide the plant with what the other two components supply. If you are looking for the whole trio together, it is also included in the Advanced Hydroponics Starter Kit.
How should I dose Bloom in soil?
By half. The table is set for inert media and for water with an initial conductivity of around 0.5 mS. In soil, that works out at 0.25 ml per litre in the first week, 1 ml in the main part of flowering and 1.5 ml at the peak of flowering. Watch how the plant responds and adjust the dose in small steps.
Exact dosing for individual ranges can be found in the Advanced Hydroponics dosing table.
