The root ball is established in the first weeks, and Natural Power Root Stimulator targets exactly that. It is an Advanced Hydroponics root stimulator that supports tissue formation in the root zone - and also in places where roots are just beginning to form. It is used for seedlings from the first days and for cuttings that do not yet have roots. Advanced Hydroponics states that cuttings treated with Root Stimulator root up to 50 % faster than untreated ones.

When and how much to dose

The dose is 1 ml of concentrate per litre of water, and the official dosing chart lists it in the first, second and third weeks of the cycle. In the fourth week, Root Stimulator ends and other supplements take its place in the watering. For cuttings, it is used from the first day and continues until the plant has formed a sufficient root base.

Over the whole cycle, 3 ml are used per each litre of watering mix you prepare each week - so even the smallest pack lasts for several cycles. In the weeks when Root Stimulator is used, Advanced Enzymes+ is commonly added to the same watering mix, also at 1 ml per litre.

Root Stimulator, or Bacto Force?

Both target the roots, but in completely different ways. Root Stimulator is a liquid concentrate for watering, dosed for three weeks at 1 ml per litre and suitable for all types of cultivation. Bacto Force is a granular soil improver: when setting up the pot, it is spread over the surface of soil or coco, covered and watered in. If you are growing in hydroponics or mineral wool, where there is nothing to work into, choose Root Stimulator.

For cuttings, the plant’s condition is decisive, not the calendar: use it from the first day until the cutting has formed a sufficient root base.

Does it work on cuttings without roots too?

Yes, it is one of its main uses. It supports tissue formation even in places where roots are only just forming. For cuttings, it is used straight from the first day. The dose is the same as for seedlings, namely 1 ml per litre. Once the root base is ready, switch to the regular feeding programme.

Can I use Root Stimulator in coco or hydroponics?

Yes, it is suitable for all types of cultivation - in soil, coco and hydroponic systems. The dosing does not change, still 1 ml per litre in the first three weeks. It is precisely in inert media, where the plant has no reserves of its own, that root start-up is monitored most closely.
