Product detailed description

Advanced Hydroponics Dutch Formula Grow is the basic growth fertiliser - the first of three components (Grow, Bloom, Micro) that are dosed together into one feed. It is applied in the vegetative phase under an eighteen-hour light cycle, when the plant is establishing roots, stem and leaf mass. The more healthy green growth you build now, the more sites for flowers and fruits you will have later.

Why Grow is dosed together with Bloom and Micro

Grow alone will not feed the plant completely. The basic nutrition is divided into three bottles and the nutrient ratio changes according to the stage: Grow has the largest share in the solution during growth, Bloom replaces it during flowering and has the highest dose towards the end of flowering, and Micro runs at a low dose from the first week of growth until the start of the final flush and adds chelated trace elements together with pH buffers. As the plant moves into flowering, the Grow dose decreases and is eventually phased out completely.

When and how much to dose

Measure into 1 litre of water and mix the solution thoroughly after each added component - otherwise you cannot be sure what you are actually measuring. In the first week of growth, 1 ml per litre is enough; in the second and third, use 2 ml. After switching to a twelve-hour cycle, return the dose to 1 ml per litre and use up the Grow; 21 to 30 days after the transition to flowering, it is phased out completely. When growing in soil, use half doses.

After mixing all components, measure the pH of the feed - the target range is 5.8 to 6.2. The stated doses are calculated for an inert substrate and source water with conductivity of around 0.5 mS.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Grow during flowering too?

Yes, it still runs at the start of flowering. After switching to a twelve-hour cycle, dose 1 ml per litre; 21 to 30 days after the transition to flowering, Grow is phased out completely and the rest of the feed is handled by Bloom with Micro. Work out the exact day according to your variety - the date of switching to a twelve-hour cycle is what matters, not the calendar week.

How should I dose Grow when I am growing in soil?

In soil, use half doses, i.e. 0.5 ml per litre in the first week of growth and 1 ml in the second and third. The doses in the official table are calculated for inert substrates and source water with conductivity of around 0.5 mS. Watch how the plant responds and adjust the dose in small steps.

In what order are the components added to the water?

First Grow, then Bloom and finally Micro, always into water - never concentrates into each other. After each added component, mix the solution thoroughly and only then reach for the next bottle. Only when everything is in the solution, measure and fine-tune the pH to 5.8 to 6.2. Shake the bottle before use.

Exact dosing for individual ranges can be found in the Advanced Hydroponics dosing table.
