Product detailed description
Advanced Hydroponics Flowering Boost (A.F.B.) is an additive for the end of flowering - the period when the base nutrition is running at full strength and you want to add even more phosphorus and potassium. It carries them in carbonate form and does not contain growth regulators (PGR). It is compatible with all base nutrients and all growing substrates. So you do not need to change anything else because of it.
The carbonate form keeps the solution pH stable and the phosphorus and potassium are readily available to the plant from it.
How to dose in the final weeks
The dose increases gradually, and that is the main difference compared with a standard flowering additive. The official Advanced Hydroponics dosing chart breaks it down by weeks of the cycle: 2 ml per litre in the eighth week, 3 ml in the ninth, 4 ml in the tenth and back to 2 ml in the eleventh. Follow this schedule - it is more detailed and is the only one that also takes the final flush into account.
Advanced Hydroponics also gives a second, shorter reading for the product tied to the harvest date: 2, 3 and 4 ml per litre in the three weeks before it. It does not match the week-by-week schedule, so do not combine the two readings.
Flowering Boost is no longer used in the twelfth and thirteenth weeks: the last two weeks are for flushing, when only Final Solution is added to the water. The last watering with Flowering Boost therefore falls in the eleventh week. When using higher doses, monitor the solution conductivity and how the plant responds - 4 ml per litre is the highest dose you will see for this additive.
Flowering Boost or Advanced PK?
Never both at once - the official chart explicitly forbids it. The difference between them is in the approach. Advanced PK is constant: a ratio of 13/14 and 1 ml per litre throughout the entire flowering period. Flowering Boost is stepped, aimed at the final weeks, and the dose in them rises to double. Choose one and leave the other out for the whole cycle.

Frequently asked questions
When should I start with Flowering Boost?
In the eighth week of a thirteen-week cycle, with a dose of 2 ml per litre. Then increase to 3 ml in the ninth week and 4 ml in the tenth week, and return to 2 ml in the eleventh week. Flowering Boost is no longer used in the twelfth and thirteenth weeks - the last two weeks are for flushing. In addition, Advanced Hydroponics also gives a shorter reading tied to the harvest date, with the same 2, 3 and 4 ml per litre; it does not match the week-by-week schedule, so follow the chart.
Can I combine Flowering Boost with Advanced PK?
No. The official Advanced Hydroponics dosing chart explicitly forbids combining the two products. Choose one of them and do not use the other throughout the entire cycle. Advanced PK is constant support throughout flowering, while Flowering Boost is stepped support for the final weeks before harvest.
Does Flowering Boost contain growth regulators?
No, it is PGR-free. The phosphorus and potassium in it are in carbonate form and there is no growth regulator included. The product is also compatible with all base fertilisers and all substrates. You do not need to change the base nutrition or medium because of it.
You can find the exact dosing for individual lines in the Advanced Hydroponics dosing chart.
