Advanced Hydroponics Bacto Force is a soil improver - a granular product that introduces strains of beneficial bacteria, enzymes and fungi into soil or coco and improves plant protection against pathogens. It is applied once, when setting up the pot, and then no further work is needed with it. So it is not weekly feeding, but an adjustment of the medium before you plant anything in it.

How to apply Bacto Force

The procedure is short. Fill the pot with soil, spread Bacto Force evenly over the surface of the substrate, cover it with five to ten centimetres of soil and water thoroughly. You can plant the next day.

The dose comes in two forms: 25 g per 10 litres of water and 1 kg per 10 m2 of soil. With one pot or a few pots, use the first option and measure out 25 g per ten litres of water. The area dose is intended for beds and larger areas - there, add up the area occupied by the pots with substrate together and calculate 1 kg per 10 m2 accordingly.

You will not find Advanced Hydroponics Bacto Force in the weekly dosing chart, and you will not miss anything by that. The chart breaks down millilitres per litre at each watering, whereas Bacto Force is a one-off application into the substrate. The rest of the feeding programme remains unchanged.

What is inside

The composition includes compost bacteria, actinomycetes, coenzymes, proteins, azotobacter, lime, bone meal, blood meal, bentonite, seaweed and humic and amino acids. Intended for: soil and coco substrate, i.e. a solid medium into which the product can be worked and covered.

Bacto Force, Root Stimulator, or Amino?

Three products that are easy to confuse: all are aimed at the start and at roots, but each works in a different way. Root Stimulator is a liquid concentrate for watering during the first three weeks, 1 ml per litre. Amino is a biostimulant for the solution, used in tenths of a millilitre from the second to the eleventh week. Bacto Force is granular: when setting up the pot, it is spread over the surface of the substrate, covered and watered, and then remains in the medium.
