Advanced Hydroponics Amino is a biostimulant with free amino acids that supplements basic nutrition at the moments when the plant needs it most: after pruning, under strong lighting and during the formation of buds and fruits. The amino acids in it are produced by enzymatic hydrolysis and microfiltration, and the plant absorbs them easily. Amino does not replace the base fertiliser - it is added to it.

When to use Amino

Amino fits four situations: the initial growth phase, shortly after pruning, under strong lighting and in the phase when the plant is forming buds and fruits. In all four cases, you add it to the regular watering, not instead of it.

How much to dose and how to measure it

Add 0.2 to 0.3 ml per litre to the watering at each feeding. The official dosing table breaks this down by week: 0.2 ml per litre in the second and third weeks of the cycle, 0.3 ml from the fourth to the tenth, and back to 0.2 ml in the eleventh. The twelfth and thirteenth weeks are for flushing - only Final Solution goes into the water then, and Amino is not mixed with it.

You can measure tenths of a millilitre only with a pipette or syringe; for five litres of watering, this works out at 1 to 1.5 ml. From every 100 ml of concentrate, you can mix roughly 330 to 500 litres of watering - converted per litre, Amino is one of the more economical items in the range. Shake the bottle before use.

Amino, Grow, or Bacto Force?

All three are offered for growth, but each solves something different. Grow is the basic mineral fertiliser and without it you will not feed the plant. Amino is a biostimulant that is added to the basic nutrition and is dosed in tenths of a millilitre. Bacto Force is a granular soil improver that is spread over the surface of the substrate when setting up the pot, covered and watered in. Amino and Bacto Force do not compete with each other, and neither replaces Grow.

Frequently asked questions

How much Amino should I dose and how should I measure it?

For watering, 0.2 to 0.3 ml per litre at each feeding. For ten litres of solution, that is 2 to 3 ml; for five litres, 1 to 1.5 ml. Such small amounts are measured with a pipette or syringe; a standard measuring cup is not suitable. Add Amino to the already mixed watering and then stir the solution.

Can I use Amino throughout the whole cycle?

Yes, from the second week of the cycle until the eleventh. In the official table it is used in both growth and bloom, only the dose changes between 0.2 and 0.3 ml per litre. The last two weeks before harvest are an exception: then only flushing is used and Amino, like the other supplements, is stopped.

Can Amino be applied to leaves?

Yes. For foliar feeding, the dose is 2 ml per litre, i.e. ten times the root dose. Spray outside the strongest light and shake the bottle before preparing the solution. Root and foliar dosing are not added together - choose according to what you are dealing with on the plant at the time.
