Urban Premium Carbon Filters

Urban Premium carbon filters remove unwanted odours from outgoing air before it leaves the tent or room. They rely on low weight and a compact body, so they are easy to hang even in a smaller space, yet they still handle airflow from 160 to 870 m3/h.

The Urban Premium carbon odour filter is a solution for anyone who needs the air leaving a grow tent or room to carry no odour. Air passes through a layer of activated carbon, which binds odour molecules - the result is a discreet and clean exhaust outdoors. The Urban Premium range stands out mainly because it is significantly lighter and more compact than standard filters, which makes hanging easier even in tight spaces.

How to choose a filter

The key is to match the filter with the fan and the duct diameter. A simple rule applies - the filter should handle the same or slightly higher airflow than the fan, so the air has time to pass through the carbon and the filter does not clog quickly. Choose the connection according to your ventilation system:

  • 100 mm - airflow up to 240 m3/h, for smaller tents and compact setups.
  • 125 mm - versions up to 240, 360 or even 550 m3/h, the most versatile size for home growing.
  • 150 mm - airflow up to 690 m3/h for larger tents and more powerful fans.
  • 160 mm - up to 870 m3/h for the most demanding setups and full-scale grow rooms.

Specific units are available from the 100 mm version up to the most powerful 160 mm model. If you are just putting together an extraction system, take a look at the other carbon odour filters as well.

How long does the filter last?

The service life of activated carbon depends on the load, humidity and operating time - as a guide, expect one growing season of intensive use, or longer in less demanding operation. Once saturated, the filter stops absorbing odours and it is time to replace it.

Do I need to combine the filter with a fan?

Yes, the filter does not move air on its own. It is connected into the extraction line together with a duct fan, which pulls air through the carbon. It is important that the capacities of the filter and fan match.

Where should I place the filter in the tent?

It is most often hung inside the tent at the start of the extraction line, i.e. under the ceiling, where warm odour accumulates. From there, the fan pushes the filtered air through the duct outside. The low weight of the Urban Premium range makes fixing it in place easier.
