Whisperblower 480 m3/h, 125 mm - simple and quiet basics

Don’t want to deal with speeds or control and just need a quiet extract fan that you can simply plug in? Whisperblower 480 m3/h is a single-speed silenced fan with a premium ebm-papst motor. It runs at a fixed speed, quietly and reliably - exactly for the grower who wants to set it and forget it.

Why Whisperblower is quieter

Whisperblower is not a standard fan with an additional silencer. It is a silenced design with redesigned aerodynamics of the housing and impeller, developed in cooperation with ebm-papst. Air inside flows like on a roller coaster - the new channel geometry creates higher pressure and airflow at the same energy efficiency while also reducing noise compared with the standard range of the same diameter.

Matching with filter and ducting

Always choose the same diameter for the fan, filter flange and ducting - in this model 125 mm. A carbon filter increases the resistance of the system, so size the fan with a reserve above the needs of the growing space and match the filter and ducting to the same 125 mm diameter. Otherwise, mismatched diameters add unnecessary resistance, reduce performance and increase noise.

For which space

It is aimed at a small to medium tent, where one output is enough. If you want to switch day/night, choose the Whisperblower 2-speed; for savings and smooth control there is the EC Whisperblower EC 800 m3/h.

Why only one speed?

A simpler construction means a lower price and maintenance-free operation. If you do not need to change the airflow, it is the cheapest way to get a silenced Whisperblower.

Can the output be controlled later?

Not directly on the housing. If you want to change the speed, choose the two-speed version or the EC model with smooth control.

What makes it quieter than a standard fan?
