Prima Klima Industry K1604 WHSPEC - high-flow carbon filter for Whisperblower silenced fans

Prima Klima Industry K1604 WHSPEC is a special, extended version of the premium Industry Line filter tuned directly for Whisperblower silenced fans. Thanks to the longer body (800 mm without flange), it holds more carbon and handles a significantly higher airflow than the standard Industry K1604 with the same flange - up to 960 m3/h (optimally around 720 m3/h). The guiding idea remains the same as for the whole Industry range: a 4 cm bed of CTC75 activated carbon for high capacity and long service life.

How WHSPEC differs from the standard Industry filter

The WHSPEC designation marks a version matched to powerful Whisperblower silenced fans, which deliver higher pressure and airflow at the same consumption. The filter is therefore longer and has a larger carbon fill so it can cope with the high airflow while still allowing the carbon enough contact time. The standard Industry K1604 with the same 125 mm flange is shorter and intended for lower airflow rates.

Parameters

The filter is refillable, with a fabric pre-filter against dust, and can be mounted vertically or horizontally. We recommend mounting heavier filters vertically and letting them draw in warm air and discharge into a cooler environment.

Which fan to use

The WHSPEC filter is designed for silenced Whisperblower fans of the same diameter - available are Whisperblower 125 mm EC with thermal regulation and Whisperblower EC 125 mm with smooth regulation. You can find other filters in the Prima Klima Industry category. Always choose the fan with a reserve, because the carbon reduces the actual airflow of the assembly.

Frequently asked questions

Why does WHSPEC have a higher airflow than the standard K1604?

It is longer and has more carbon so it can handle powerful Whisperblower silenced fans. The larger fill accommodates a higher airflow and at the same time maintains sufficient contact time between the air and the carbon.

At what humidity does the filter work reliably?

Up to about 55 percent relative humidity it filters very well; above 60 percent performance drops and above 70 percent it is no longer guaranteed. The filter should draw in warmer air, otherwise moisture condenses in the carbon.

Can the carbon be replaced?

Yes, the filter is refillable - once the fill is used up, you replace it instead of buying a whole new filter.
