Prima Klima PK100-ECblue - quiet and efficient extract, 100 mm diameter and 580 m3/h

Prima Klima PK100-ECblue belongs to the powerful ECblue series. The radial impeller with backward-curved blades and the durable body made of non-flammable polyamide (nylon) handle strong extraction through a carbon filter very quietly and with low consumption. The ebm-papst motor is designed for long, continuous operation.

What EC motor means

EC motor (electronically commutated, from the German manufacturer ebm-papst) is a type of motor - efficient, quiet and with smooth electronic speed control built directly into the motor. Unlike a classic AC motor, the speed is not reduced by a lossy dimmer, so the fan draws only as much energy as it really needs for the given airflow - even at lower speeds. The result is lower consumption, less noise and a longer service life. EC refers to the motor, not the way it is connected to another device.

Control via external controller

The ECblue series does not have built-in control - it runs at full power from the socket. For smooth automatic speed control according to temperature and humidity, connect the external PK-DGTL-THC controller to the fan via the RJ45 connector (purchased separately). One panel then controls the climate clearly from one place. Please note: the EC motor does not change speed according to the climate on its own - control is provided by the connected controller, not the motor.

Which tent and how to size it

With a maximum airflow of 580 m3/h, the fan is suitable for a tent around 100x100 cm, and with a reserve also 120x120 cm. The fan diameter, filter flange and ducting should all be the same (100 mm) - otherwise unnecessary resistance, loss of performance and noise will occur. A carbon filter and bends reduce the actual airflow, so choose the fan with a reserve above the needs of the space.
