Prima Klima PK100-TC - quiet and efficient extraction, 100 mm diameter and 280 m3/h

Prima Klima PK100-TC is a radial (centrifugal) fan designed for extraction with a carbon filter: it draws in air and easily overcomes the resistance of the filter and ducting. The ball-bearing motor and backward-curved blades run quietly and with low power consumption; the body made of non-flammable polyamide (nylon) is resistant to impact and heat. The connection, capacitor and control system are hidden directly in the housing.

Built-in temperature control

The fan has a built-in thermostat: set the target temperature and minimum speed, and the fan will then automatically increase output when the temperature in the space or ducting rises above the limit, and slow down again as soon as the climate drops back. The built-in thermal protection protects the motor against overheating. The control is part of the housing - you do not need any external controller.

Why it pays off

Automatic control saves work and energy: the fan runs at full power only when needed, otherwise it maintains lower, quieter speeds. The radial impeller moves more air than standard axial fans at lower noise levels, so the setup remains discreet and the climate stable. German manufacture and a Swiss motor are a guarantee of long service life.

Which tent it suits and how to size it

With a maximum airflow of 280 m3/h, the fan is suitable for a small grow tent of roughly 60x60 to 80x80 cm or for fresh air intake. The fan diameter, filter flange and ducting should all be the same (100 mm) - otherwise unnecessary resistance, loss of performance and noise will occur. A carbon filter and bends reduce the actual airflow, so choose the fan with a reserve above the space's needs.

What size tent is the fan suitable for?

The maximum airflow of 280 m3/h with a 100 mm diameter covers a small grow tent of roughly 60x60 to 80x80 cm or fresh air intake. Allow for a reserve: a carbon filter and duct bends reduce the actual airflow of the setup, so it is better to choose the fan with a comfortable margin above the tent's needs rather than exactly at the limit.

What is the difference between the -TC and -THC versions?

The -TC suffix means built-in temperature control: the fan automatically increases speed when the temperature rises above the set limit. The -THC version controls both temperature and air humidity at the same time, keeping the climate within the target range (close to the VPD principle). For cultivation, humidity is just as important as temperature, so -THC is the more advanced option.

Do I need an external controller for the fan?

No. The control is built directly into the fan body, regulates the speed on its own and works without any additional device. Only owners of ECblue series models, which do not have built-in control, buy an external controller separately.
