Blue Line PK400/450-EC 6000 m3/h, 400/450 mm - the peak of the commercial range

For the largest operations where it is necessary to move an enormous volume of air, there is the top of the range - Blue Line PK400/450-EC. The impeller wheels of the ebm-papst EC motor deliver a draw of 6000 m3/h through a 400/450 mm flange while keeping noise around 74 dB. The powder-coated galvanised housing withstands even slightly increased humidity.

What the ebm-papst EC motor does

An EC motor is an electronically commutated motor with electronics integrated directly into the body. It stands out for low consumption, quiet operation and smooth speed control. Unlike cheap phase control on AC motors, energy is not lost on the way to the motor, so the fan runs efficiently and without unnecessary noise. EC is a type of motor, not a way of connecting to anything else.

Matching with the filter and ducting

Always choose the same diameter for the fan, filter flange and ducting - in this model 400/450 mm. A carbon filter increases the resistance of the system, so size the fan with a reserve above the needs of the growing space and match the filter and ducting to the same 400/450 mm diameter. Otherwise, mismatched diameters add unnecessary resistance, reduce performance and increase noise.
