Aqua Master Tools W650 PRO monitors your tank for you. Instead of going to the solution every morning with a handheld metre, it sends pH, EC, TDS, PPM and temperature via Wi-Fi to the mobile app - and when a value exceeds the set alarm, a notification is sent to your phone.

Important before purchase: the product does not have a built-in display and must be connected to a mobile phone or tablet via the app. Without a smartphone or tablet and stable Wi-Fi, you cannot read the values.

Measurement runs continuously and automatic temperature compensation keeps the values comparable throughout the day. The monitor works with the 700 PPM scale - bear this in mind when comparing it with a pen that shows the 500 scale, because the same EC gives a different number on each scale.

What the app can do

The app is both control and display in one. It shows live values and graphs and keeps data history for up to 1 year back, so you can look back and find out when the solution started to drift. For each parameter you can set an upper and lower alarm, the app guides you through calibration step by step and reminds you when it is time to repeat it. You can name individual devices and add a note to them, so even in operation with several tanks you know which value comes from where - in one app you can have an unlimited number of Aqua Master Tools devices. The monitor body has an integrated holder for a phone or tablet, so you have the screen at hand when working by the tank.

Calibration and electrode care

pH can be calibrated at one, two or three points at values of 4.0, 7.0 and 10.0 pH, EC at one point with a 1.4, 3.0 or 12.88 EC solution. For a growing operation, a two-point pH calibration is enough: pH 4 calibration solution and pH 7 solution, and for EC with EC 1.413 solution. We do not offer the pH 10.0 solution for the third point and you do not need it with nutrient solutions - the third point only makes sense where you also measure in the alkaline range. All electrodes, namely pH, EC, PPM, TDS and temperature, are fully replaceable, so wear of one probe does not mean the end of the whole monitor. Do not let the glass pH electrode dry out and store it in KCl storage solution when not in use.

Who it makes sense for

W650 PRO is for a tank that you mix yourself and that is meant to last for days. You will most often find it in hydroponics and gardening, where it monitors the nutrient solution in the reservoir tank and the drainage water flowing off the tables, but it works just as well for aquariums and ponds or in water treatment systems; thanks to continuous recording, it is also used in laboratories and industrial process control. Continuous monitoring is especially valuable where you learn the morning reading from a pen too late: the pH in the tank changes on its own and EC rises as the water evaporates. If you need to measure in pressurised piping, choose the W650 PRO Inline version; if the device should also adjust the values itself, you need the C800 PRO controller with dosing units.

Frequently asked questions

Can W650 PRO dose pH or nutrients?

No. W650 PRO is a monitor - it measures, records and alerts you when a limit is exceeded, but it does not add anything to the solution itself. If you want pH or EC to be adjusted automatically by peristaltic pumps, you need a C800 PRO series controller with C10, C20 or C30 dosing units.

Does the monitor work without a phone?

No. W650 PRO does not have a built-in display, so the values are shown exclusively in the Aqua Master Tools app on a phone or tablet with Android 8.0 or iOS 12 and newer. The monitor needs a stable local Wi-Fi network; you can then monitor the data from anywhere, not just within range of the tank. The measured values are saved and remain available retrospectively.
