You can simply hang the Lumatek supplementary UV LED bar on any Lumetak ZEUS light. It creates UV-A and UV-B light that supports flowering and ripening.

If plants receive more UV light towards the end of the flowering phase, the resulting taste, aroma and crop quality improve thanks to the increased content of terpenes, oils and resins. With UV light, you will not need as many chemical interventions; it is also used as prevention against fungal diseases and pest infestations. Plants exposed to UV-A and UV-B light show greater resistance to abiotic stress and diseases. UV light can also support root development, growth with shorter internodes and the formation of more compact flowers.

The Lumatek 30W UV supplementary LED bar was designed based on the latest research into the effects of UV light on plant development. It provides plants with just the right intensity of UV-A and UV-B radiation to support flowering without placing excessive stress on them. One bar can produce 2.2 kJ of UV-B per day (12 hours) and 518 kJ of UV-A per day (12 hours). Lumatek guarantees that the bar produces no UV-C radiation.

The bar can be connected separately or by means of the connecting cable Lumatek LED Bar power cable for FR/UV LED, 4 m (LU mm0084). Cables are available separately.

Recommendation
Hang the supplementary bar directly on any Lumatek ZEUS light. It is not recommended to use it on its own, because it emits only UV radiation and plants need a broader spectrum for healthy growth. Use the Lumatek 30W UV as soon as you shorten the photoperiod to 12 hours or less, at least 4 weeks before harvest. If you notice any damage to the plants, raise the light higher above the plants or shorten the photoperiod (lighting period) even further.

- ZEUS 1000W PRO (coverage 1.5 x 2.0 m)

When using the light, exercise extra caution, as UV light can be dangerous to people. Always switch it off during installation and maintenance. If you cannot switch the light off, cover all exposed skin including the face, neck, head and hands with opaque fabric. Wear protective glasses, closed shoes, long sleeves and trousers.

Never look into the light; UV-B radiation can damage eyesight and skin.

Do not restrict airflow around the light; accumulated heat near the bar can dramatically reduce its lifespan.

Prevent contact with any surface when the light is switched on.
