Lumatek Far-Red LED Bar 50W is an additional LED light bar that expands the spectrum of ZEUS fixtures with far-red light, peaking at 730 nm. Added far-red supports stem elongation and leaf development during the vegetative phase and the first days of flowering, helping plants make better use of the entire growing area. The LED bar has its own power supply and connects directly to the frame of the ZEUS panel.

When and how many bars to use

The Far-Red bar is used as an addition to full-spectrum ZEUS panels during the vegetative phase and the first days of flowering. The Lumatek catalogue specifies the recommended number according to the model: 1 unit is sufficient for the ZEUS 300W PRO 3.1; for larger panels and areas over 1.2 x 1.2 m (such as the ZEUS 465W PRO 3.1), use at least 2 units. Up to 18 LED bars can be connected in a daisy-chain.

Power and linking cables sold separately

The LED bar has its own power supply, but the power and linking cables are sold separately. You need a power cable for the first unit, while additional LED bars are connected with a daisy-chain cable. The LED bar cannot be connected without the correct cable.

UV or far-red?

The Far-Red bar is designed for the vegetative phase and the beginning of flowering (stem elongation and leaf development) and comes with a 3-year warranty. If, on the other hand, you need to finish the flowering phase, choose the 30W UV bar, which adds UV-A and UV-B radiation during the final weeks before harvest. These are two different supplements for different phases.
