Product detailed description
Begrow® growing cube made of hydrophilic rockwool (mineral wool) with dimensions 75 x 75 x 65 mm has a wide opening. The large hole holds a thicker cutting well or can take an entire smaller cube with the plant - while the compact size keeps the root zone airy.
Key features
- Large hole - comfortably accommodates a thicker cutting or a smaller rooted cube.
- Compact block - the small 75 mm size soaks through quickly and keeps the root zone airy.
- Fast start - absorbs in up to 25 seconds and maintains a balanced water-to-air ratio (water regulation 40-85 %).
- Clean environment - inert and sterile rockwool without pathogens, does not bind fertilisers; density 80 kg/m3, porosity above 98 %.
How to use
Soak the cube until it is saturated. Insert a thicker cutting into the large hole so that it holds firmly, or place the entire smaller rooted cube inside. Then keep the cube moist and warm until the roots grow out. The compact 75 mm size is a good starting and intermediate step that you can easily transplant further.
Frequently asked questions
Small vs. large hole in the 75 mm cube - which should you choose?
The large hole accommodates a thicker cutting or a smaller cube. The small hole is only for a thin plug or seedling. Choose the opening according to what you are planting.
Is it suitable for rooting cuttings?
Yes, the wide opening firmly accommodates even a thicker stem. For the very first rooting of clones, a smaller propagation plug is often used first.
What can I transplant the cube into?
Into a larger cube with a large hole or into a mat. You place it in whole, so the roots remain undisturbed and the plant does not lose pace.
