Product detailed description
Begrow® growing cube made of hydrophilic rockwool (mineral wool) with dimensions of 75 x 75 x 65 mm has a prepared small hole. Place a rooted propagation plug or a young plant into it - it is the typical first step from the propagation tray into a separate cube.
Key features
- Small hole for a plug - the opening fits a thin propagation plug or the stem of a young plant.
- Compact start - the small 75 mm size is the ideal first block, which you then transplant into a larger cube.
- Balanced moisture - soaks up in 25 seconds and keeps the ideal ratio of water and air (water regulation 40-85 %).
- Clean and stable - inert and sterile rockwool, does not bind fertilisers; density 80 kg/m3, porosity above 98 %.
How to use
Before planting, soak the cube so that it becomes saturated. Gently place the rooted plug or seedling into the small hole so that the roots point downwards. Keep the cube moist and warm. Once the roots grow through, transplant the entire cube into a larger block - for example into a cube with a large hole 100 x 100 mm.
Frequently asked questions
What goes into the small hole?
A rooted propagation plug or the thin stem of a young plant. For a stronger cutting or transplanting an entire smaller cube, the version with a large hole is suitable.
When should I use this cube?
As the first step after rooting in a plug. Transplant the young plant from it once the roots grow through the walls.
What do I transplant it into next?
Into a larger cube with a large hole (100 x 100 mm or 150 x 150 mm) or into a growing mat - you place it in whole, so you do not pull out the roots.
