Product detailed description
Begrow® growing cube made of hydrophilic rockwool (mineral wool) with dimensions 150 x 150 x 142 mm is the largest cube in the range. The generous block gives roots plenty of space for the entire flowering phase, and the large hole can hold an entire smaller cube with the plant - you transplant without disturbing the roots.
Key features
- Large volume - 150 x 150 x 142 mm gives roots space for large plants right up to harvest.
- Large hole - you can place an entire smaller rooted cube into it, and the roots will grow into the new block.
- Balanced moisture - absorbs in up to 25 seconds and maintains the ideal balance of water and air (water regulation 40-85 %).
- Clean environment - inert and sterile rockwool without pathogens, does not bind fertilisers; density 80 kg/m3, porosity above 98 %.
How to use
Thoroughly soak the large block so it becomes fully saturated. Place a rooted smaller cube (for example 100 x 100 mm) into the large hole and set the cube into the system or onto a drip tray. This size is the final stop for plants you want to grow to full size - the vertical fibres guide the roots downwards and hold a robust root ball.
Frequently asked questions
Who is this size for?
For large plants and the final stage of cultivation. It is the largest cube in the range, so it serves as the last block in which the plant finishes flowering.
What do I place into the large hole?
The entire smaller rooted cube, typically 100 x 100 mm. The roots will gradually grow into the new block without transplant shock.
How often should I water the large block?
The larger cube holds more water, so make sure it has time to partially dry out between waterings. Rockwool is inert and does not bind nutrients - we can advise you on the watering schedule.
