Detailed information

Product detailed description

Begrow® growing cube made of hydrophilic rockwool (mineral wool) with dimensions of 75 x 75 x 65 mm comes without a pre-drilled hole. You make the hole exactly where and as large as you need - the cube is therefore universal for sowing seeds and for inserting cuttings.

Key features

  • No hole = freedom - you create the hole yourself according to what you are planting (seed, plug and cutting).
  • Fast start - soaks up in 25 seconds and maintains a balanced ratio of water and air (water regulation 40-85 %).
  • Healthy roots - vertical fibres guide roots downwards; the material is inert, sterile and does not bind fertilisers.
  • Reliable structure - density 80 kg/m3, porosity above 98 %, recovery capacity above 95 %.

How to use

First soak the cube until it is fully saturated. In the moist cube, make a small hollow with your finger or a pencil and insert the seed, or stick in the cutting. Keep the cube moist and warm until the plant takes root. The small 75 mm size is an ideal starter block, which you then transplant into a larger cube.

Frequently asked questions

Why a cube without a hole?

So that you have freedom. You make the hole exactly to measure - a small hollow for a seed, a deeper one for a cutting. If you want a prepared hole, choose the version with a small or large hole.

Is it suitable for sowing seeds?

Yes. In the moist cube, make a shallow hollow, place the seed in it and lightly cover it. The cube retains the moisture needed for germination.

What to do with the cube after rooting?

Transplant it whole into a larger cube with a hole or into a mat - the roots will continue to grow through without shock, because you do not pull them out of the substrate.

Not sure whether you want a cube with a hole or without one? Write to info@higarden.eu and we will advise you according to what you are planting.
