AC Infinity UIS Lighting Adapter Type-B is an adapter dongle that allows UIS controllers to control grow lights from other brands with an RJ11 or RJ12 connector - specifically those using older resistor dimming technology. It therefore differs from Type-A, which is intended for newer PWM or 0-10V dimmers. One end is UIS male for connection to the controller port, the other end is RJ11/RJ12 female for connecting the light.

How to tell whether Type-B is right for your light

Type-B works only with lights with an RJ11/RJ12 connector and a resistor dimmer. Lights with spectral control or with a PWM/voltage protocol are not compatible - Type-A is intended for those. After connecting the first light, additional RJ11/RJ12 lights of the same brand can be linked in a daisy chain according to the manufacturer's procedure.

The package also includes a separate 10-foot (approx. 3 m) RJ11/12 extension cable. Another UIS device is needed to power the controller itself. For some brands, a firmware update via the AC Infinity app may be required.
