Soil sensor for automatic irrigation with Controller AI+

The AI Soil Sensor is a soil sensor designed specifically for the AC Infinity CONTROLLER AI+ - it measures moisture and saturation in soil or growing medium so the controller can automatically activate the connected irrigation device based on the measured data. It is suitable for growing in fabric pots, beds and raised beds (grow beds).

How the probe measures substrate moisture

The removable stem allows the probe to be safely inserted deeper into the growing medium for more accurate measurements - the fibreglass construction is gentle on plant roots. The sensor connects to the AI+ controller with a 144-inch (365.8 cm) cable, and via the AC Infinity Wi-Fi app the controller then activates the irrigation device according to the set thresholds. The probe body and stem cap have IP67 protection, meaning sealed protection against water and dirt.

Compatibility and limitations

The sensor is intended exclusively for CONTROLLER AI+ and its Wi-Fi app. Only one soil sensor can be connected natively to the controller at a time; for monitoring multiple containers, a separately sold sensor splitter is intended. A CO2 + Light sensor can also be connected to the same controller as a second expansion sensor.
