AC Infinity UIS Lighting Adapter Type-A is an adapter dongle that allows UIS controllers (CONTROLLER 69, 69 WiFi, 69 PRO, AI+) to control grow lights from other brands with an RJ11 or RJ12 connector - specifically those using the PWM or 0-10V dimming protocol. One end is UIS male for connection to the controller port, the other end is RJ11/RJ12 female for connecting the light.

How to tell whether Type-A is right for your light

Type-A works only with lights with an RJ11/RJ12 connector and a PWM or 0-10V dimmer. Lights with spectral control or a resistor protocol are NOT compatible - UIS Lighting Adapter Type-B is intended for those. After connecting the first light, additional RJ11/RJ12 lights of the same brand can be linked in a daisy-chain according to the manufacturer's procedure.

What the adapter allows

Once connected, the controller automatically recognises the light and allows you to programme light cycles, schedules and dynamic responses to temperature and humidity. The package also includes a separate 10-foot (approx. 3 m) RJ11/12 extension cable. Power for the controller itself requires another UIS device - the controller is not powered through this dongle. For some brands, a firmware update via the AC Infinity app may be required.

How do I know whether my light needs Type-A or Type-B?
