Wireless SANlight dimming from your phone

Bluetooth Dimmer gives your SANlight luminaires precise, smooth intensity control directly from your mobile phone - via the free SANlight Mesh app (iOS and Android). You connect it to the blue dimming connector on the luminaire and from there control the output of individual luminaires or entire groups without having to go to the grow tent.

On the STIXX series, the dimmer connects to the blue connector of the STIXX driver, not to the module itself. In tight spaces, the angled L connector for control voltage helps. Want to control more luminaires with one dimmer? The Dimmer Splitter EVO distributes the signal.

Dimming is not just about convenience. In the early stages, plants do not need full output - by reducing the intensity you save electricity and do not stress the plants with excessive light, then you can increase the output as the crop grows. Bluetooth Mesh technology also links more dimmers into one network, so you can control a larger grow room from one phone and do not need to buy separate controls for each luminaire.

Which luminaires does the Bluetooth Dimmer fit and which does it not fit?

The Bluetooth Dimmer with a blue connector is designed for SANlight EVO 1.5, EVO Compact and STIXX (except STIXX 50). It does not work with Q-Series Gen2, for which there is a separate dimmer with a black connector, nor with FLEX II and STIXX 50, which do not have a SANlight dimmer. It connects to the blue dimming connector, not to the power supply.

How many luminaires can be controlled from one phone?

The dimmers communicate with each other via Bluetooth Mesh technology, so from one phone you can control individual luminaires and entire groups. SANlight states that up to 3,200 luminaires can be operated in one SANlight Mesh network. With the blue version, you can set the intensity via the SANlight Mesh app in the range of 20 to 100 %, including complete switch-off.

What is the difference between Bluetooth and the M-Dimmer?

You control the Bluetooth Dimmer wirelessly from your phone and set a smooth 20-100 % including switch-off. The magnetic M-Dimmer is controlled manually with the supplied magnetic key and switches four fixed levels (100/80/60/40 %) without an app. Choose Bluetooth for remote and group control, M-Dimmer for simple manual dimming without a phone.
