AC Infinity Pre-Filter Cloth, carbon filter sleeve, 100 mm, 2 pcs

Product detailed description

Protection for small 100 mm DCF4 and RCF4 filters

AC-PFC4 is a pre-filter fabric sleeve that fits over 100 mm (4") carbon filters – typically DCF4 or refillable RCF4. It captures dust, hair and other impurities before they reach the activated carbon, thereby extending its lifespan.

Why fabric, not a filter

PFC4 itself has no maximum flow rate specification – it is not a filter, but protection for the carbon filter against impurities. The filter itself (DCF4 or RCF4) therefore remains functional for longer, regardless of how quickly the fabric becomes clogged.

Material, dimensions and colour

The sleeve is made of breathable polyester with 100% air permeability, with a material thickness of 1.5 mm (0.05"). The design is precisely shaped (pre-cut) for 4" filters, the colour is black, and the overall dimensions are 17.7 x 25.0 cm.

Installation: intake vs. exhaust

The fabric is fitted over the outside of the filter for an intake configuration, or inside the filter chamber for an exhaust configuration.

Lifespan and washing

The package contains 2 sleeves. They are reusable and machine washable – replacement or washing is recommended after approximately 6 months of continuous operation.

Frequently asked questions

Is PFC4 a filter or just an accessory?
Just an accessory – it is protective fabric that fits over a carbon filter. It has no maximum flow rate specification of its own and does not replace the filter.

Does PFC4 fit both DCF4 and RCF4?
Yes, both filters have the same diameter of 100 mm (4"), so the PFC4 fabric fits both.

How is PFC4 cleaned and how long does it last?
It can be machine washed. Replacement or washing is recommended after approximately 6 months of continuous operation.

How is the fabric fitted – over the outside or inside?
Over the outside of the filter for an intake configuration, or inside the filter chamber for an exhaust configuration.
