Why choose the XL version of the 200mm filter

AC Infinity DCF8-XL is an extended version of the 200mm carbon filter DCF8. It is suitable where you need a higher maximum airflow in the same 200mm ducting, or want to top up/replace the carbon filling less often.

Longer body and higher airflow in figures

The filter body measures 23 inches (58.4 cm) instead of 20 inches (50.8 cm) on the standard DCF8, and the overall dimensions are 60.0 x 27.7 cm. Thanks to the longer carbon filling, the filter achieves a maximum airflow of 930 CFM (1580 m3/h), while the standard DCF8 has 770 CFM (1308 m3/h). The manufacturer states the longer carbon filling as the reason for the higher airflow and longer filter life in this version.

What the filter is made of

The filter filling is made of Australian virgin activated carbon (Virgin Australian RC412), rated 1200+ IAV, and the carbon layer is 38 mm thick. The flange is aluminium, and the mesh is galvanised steel.
