AC Infinity Duct Carbon Filter, Australian Charcoal, 250mm

Product detailed description
When a 200mm system is no longer enough
AC Infinity DCF10 has a 250 mm flange and is designed for grow rooms and large grow tents, where the maximum airflow of a 200mm filter (DCF8, 770 CFM / 1308 m3/h) is no longer sufficient for the required air volume. The filter captures odours and chemicals from extracted air during long-term operation.
Carbon fill and airflow
The filter fill consists of Virgin Australian activated carbon (Virgin Australian RC412) with a rating of 1200+ IAV in a 38mm layer. Maximum airflow is 1249 CFM (2122 m3/h) - significantly more than with the 200mm DCF8 filter.
Construction
The flange is made of aluminium and is reversible on both sides - by turning the filter, you use the entire carbon fill. The mesh is made of galvanised steel resistant to corrosion.
What is in the package
- 1x DCF10 carbon filter
- 2x strap
- 2x rope clip hanger
- 2x washable pre-filter
Neck diameter: 250 mm | Filter length: 61.0 cm | Overall dimensions: 60.0 x 32.6 cm | Flange length: 3.8 cm
Fan for a 250mm system
Pair the DCF10 filter with a fan and ducting of the same 250 mm diameter. Activated carbon in the ducting creates resistance and reduces the actual airflow of the system - therefore the fan should be selected with a reserve above the space requirement:
- AC Infinity CLOUDLINE S10 - fan with 10-speed controller, 250 mm.
- Flexible four-layer ducting 250 mm - connects the filter to the fan.
Frequently asked questions
When does it make sense to switch from a 200mm to a 250mm filter?
If the air volume you need to filter exceeds the capacity of a 200mm filter (DCF8, 770 CFM / 1308 m3/h) - typically in larger grow rooms and large tents.
Which fan is the DCF10 filter suitable for?
It has a 250 mm flange, so it is suitable for the CLOUDLINE S10 fan of the same diameter.
Must the filter have the same or higher airflow than the fan?
Do not judge it by the filter rating. The CLOUDLINE 250 mm fan has a stated max. airflow of 1201 CFM (approximately 2040 m3/h), the DCF10 filter 1249 CFM (2122 m3/h) - the values are close. The filter in the ducting also reduces the actual airflow of the system due to the resistance of the carbon, so the fan is selected with a reserve.
Is the filter flange reversible?
Yes, the aluminium flange is reversible on both sides, so the filter can be turned and the entire carbon fill used.
