Airflow noise silencer in ducting route 100 mm

AC Infinity Inline Duct Silencer DSA4 is an aluminium/stainless steel silencer (muffler) that is inserted directly into a 4" ventilation ducting route - typically between an inline fan and another ducting part. Unlike a coupler, which dampens vibrations only at one joint, the DSA4 reduces airflow noise (whoosh) along the entire length it occupies after installation.

How the damping works

Inside the body is neoprene foam in the shape of a wave crest (wave crest / egg crate), which absorbs sound waves created by fan vibrations and airflow. It reduces fan noise by up to 50 %, while maintaining airflow - the silencer works for both intake and extract. Two aluminium/stainless steel flanges further absorb vibrations at the connection point.

Where to install in 100 mm ducting

The silencer can be placed anywhere in the ventilation chain, typically between the fan and the ducting. You can use it in grow tents, hydroponic grow rooms, AV/server rooms, for cabinet cooling and bathroom ventilation. Combine it with other 4" parts:
