The smallest and most affordable CLOUDLINE

AC Infinity CLOUDLINE A4 is the entry-level model in the entire CLOUDLINE range - a 100 mm inline fan with an airflow of 280 m3/h (165 CFM), the lowest in the CLOUDLINE range. It is a value option: the same motor technology (EC motor, mixed-flow design) as the higher ranges, in a simpler and most affordable version. In practice, it is suitable for smaller grow tents, propagation and seedling boxes, individual plants or technical and server cabinets where high output is not needed.

Contents of the package and control

The fan is connected by a 1.83 m (72 in) cable to the included wired 10-speed controller with switch - with it, the CLOUDLINE A4 works fully independently, without an app. The control cable is part of the UIS™ platform: instead of the included controller, it can be connected directly to the UIS port of a smart controller (Controller 69 Pro or AI+, sold separately), which then controls the speed according to temperature, humidity and VPD and adds app control. CLOUDLINE is UIS-native and does not need any adapter for this.

Construction

The fan is driven by an EC motor controlled by PWM, which runs smoothly even at low speeds without unnecessary noise. The mixed flow design and stator blade maintain a static pressure of 324 Pa. The motor housing with impeller can be separated from the mounting frame for cleaning; the double ball bearings have a service life of 67,000 hours and allow horizontal and vertical mounting. IP44 protection guards against dust and splashing water.

What size tent is the CLOUDLINE A4 suitable for?
The A4 has the lowest airflow in the CLOUDLINE range (280 m3/h), so in practice it is used with smaller tents, propagation and seedling boxes or individual plants. You can calculate the exact requirement from the room volume: multiply the volume in m3 (width x depth x height) by 60 (one air exchange per minute), add the resistance of the accessories (filter approx. +60%, ducting +20%, silencer +20%, LED heat up to +50%) and finally add a +25% reserve. If the result exceeds the output of the A4, choose a more powerful model.

How does the A4 differ from the CLOUDLINE S4?
Both have a 100 mm diameter and the same type of included wired controller. The A4 has a shorter controller cable (1.83 m compared with 3.05 m on the S4), lower airflow and slightly higher noise (165 CFM/29 dBA on the A4 vs 205 CFM/28 dBA on the S4) - it is the more affordable version.

Which filter and ducting should I choose for the A4?
Match the filter and ducting to the same 100 mm diameter (DCF4 filter, 100 mm ducting). The filter in the setup reduces the real airflow (resistance of the carbon), which is taken into account by the sizing formula above - for smaller volumes (propagation, seedlings, small tent) the A4 usually covers this.
