AC Infinity CLOUDLINE A4 is the entry-level model in the entire CLOUDLINE range – a 100 mm diameter inline fan with an airflow of 280 m³/h (165 CFM), the lowest within the CLOUDLINE range. It is the value option: it uses the same motor technology (EC motor, mixed-flow construction) as the higher-end ranges, in a simpler and most affordable design. In practice, it is suitable for smaller grow tents, germination and seedling boxes, individual plants or technical and server cabinets where high performance is not required.

Package contents and control

The fan is connected via a 1.83 m (72 in) cable to the included wired 10-speed controller with an on/off switch – with it, CLOUDLINE A4 operates fully independently, without an app. The control cable is part of the UIS™ platform: instead of the included controller, it can be connected directly to the UIS port of a smart controller (Controller 69 Pro or AI+, sold separately), which then controls the speed according to temperature, humidity and VPD and adds app control. CLOUDLINE is UIS-native and requires no adapter.

Construction

The fan is powered by a PWM-controlled EC motor that runs smoothly even at low speeds without unnecessary noise. The mixed-flow construction and stator vane maintain a static pressure of 324 Pa. The motor housing with impeller can be separated from the mounting frame for cleaning; the double ball bearings have a lifespan of 67,000 hours and allow horizontal and vertical installation. The IP44 rating protects against dust and splashing water.

What size tent is CLOUDLINE A4 suitable for?
A4 has the lowest airflow in the CLOUDLINE range (280 m³/h), so in practice it is used in smaller tents, germination and seedling boxes or with individual plants. Calculate the exact requirement from the room volume: multiply the volume in m³ (width x depth x height) by 60 (one air exchange per minute), add the resistance of the accessories (filter approx. +60%, ducting +20%, silencer +20%, LED heat up to +50%) and finally add a 25% reserve. If the result exceeds the performance of A4, choose a more powerful model.

How does A4 differ from CLOUDLINE S4?
Both have a 100 mm diameter and the same type of included wired controller. A4 has a shorter controller cable (1.83 m compared to 3.05 m for S4), lower airflow and slightly higher noise (165 CFM/29 dBA for A4 vs 205 CFM/28 dBA for S4) – it is the more affordable option.

Which filter and ducting should I choose for A4?
Match both the filter and ducting to the same 100 mm diameter (DCF4 filter, 100 mm ducting). A filter reduces the actual airflow in the system (carbon resistance), which is taken into account in the sizing formula above – for smaller volumes (germination, seedlings, small tents), A4 will usually be sufficient.
