Product detailed description
Biochar is made from birch and spruce and undergoes careful testing and research for use in growing media.
Thanks to its structure, Biochar offers a high capacity to bind a significant amount of nutrients on its surface, allowing them to be released gradually for plants and contributing to optimal nutrient management in the soil.
Biochar is a natural part of the ecosystem and, in combination with added microorganisms, creates favourable conditions for plant development, growth and crop production.
The optimal ratio of soil mix and Biochar is recommended at 1:10, which means that 1 litre of biochar is suitable for 10 litres of substrate.
Biochar also helps reduce soil acidity thanks to its alkaline nature (pH 10).

Improving soil structure
Biochar helps improve soil structure, which makes it easier for air, water and nutrients to reach the plants and supports healthier growth.
Water retention
Thanks to its high active surface area, Biochar effectively retains water, helping plants during dry periods.
It can also absorb excess moisture, preventing waterlogging of the soil, which can be problematic for some plants.
Prevention against mould and rot
Activated carbon helps prevent the occurrence of mould and rot by absorbing excess moisture and preventing the development of pathogens.
Support for soil life
Biochar helps the development of beneficial microorganisms in the soil, leading to the natural regeneration and sustainability of the soil ecosystem.
Binding harmful substances
Biochar has the ability to bind harmful substances and toxins in the soil, preventing them from entering cultivated plants.
For example, it can reduce the content of heavy metals and chemicals, which is important for protecting plant health.
Reducing the need for chemical fertilisers
Using Biochar can reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers, which contributes to the protection of the environment and soil health.
Reducing odour and speeding up the composting process
Activated carbon can be used to remove unpleasant odours, for example in compost, and speeds up the composting process by 20%.
It absorbs unwanted odours and helps maintain the freshness of composted material.
Product safety
Biochar is a natural, ecological product that is not harmful to soil or plants. It is safe for long-term use and does not contain any artificial chemicals.
By using 1 kg of Biochar, you can reduce the carbon footprint by 2.7 kg CO2.
