Product detailed description

BioNova CocoBrick compressed coconut briquette is used to prepare 10 litres of coconut substrate, which is ready to use after adding 3.5 to 4 litres of water. The volume of the briquette increases by approx. 10x as a result. Thanks to its initial size, this substrate is easy to transport.

Advantages

  • Easy to use
  • Low EC value of less than 0.8 mS/cm
  • Ideal pH value of 5.8
  • Stimulates perfect root development
  • The coconut substrate is not compact, thus making drainage easier
  • Light product - 85 kg/m3 (peat substrate 125 kg/m3)
  • Excellent and rapid water absorption
  • Can be used repeatedly
  • Using coconut often leads to a higher fruit yield compared with other substrates

Instructions for use

Fill a bucket or tank with 3.5 to 4 litres of water. Let one block of the briquette swell in the water. Mix the blend thoroughly and after approx. 30 minutes you will have approximately 10 litres of substrate ready to use.

We dispatch CocoBrick individually, packed in sets of 6 pieces in a transport bag or 24 pieces in one box.

How to fertilise the substrate

Coconut substrate does not contain a nutrient reserve on its own, so fertilise from the first watering. We recommend the two-component fertiliser Coco Forte A+B designed specifically for coconut substrates together with PK 13-14 throughout the flowering period. When watering with soft or RO water, supplement the substrate with Ca 15 and MgO 10.

Frequently asked questions

Which fertiliser should the substrate be fertilised with?

Coconut does not contain a nutrient reserve, so from the start fertilise with the two-component Coco Forte A+B together with PK 13-14 throughout the flowering period.

How much water is needed for one briquette?

3.5 to 4 litres of water per block, the volume of the briquette increases by approx. 10x to approximately 10 litres of substrate.

Can the substrate be used more than once?

Yes, the substrate is suitable for repeated use. To supplement calcium and magnesium, especially when watering with soft or RO water, the substrate can be supplemented with Ca 15 and MgO 10.
