Grodan Cress Plate is a growing medium made of mineral wool developed specifically for growing microgreens - basil, rocket, chives, mizuna, micro coriander, chia, mustard, fennel, amaranth, radish, broccoli and cress.

For the best results when growing, we also recommend using the special trays Microgreens Tray by Garland:

Main advantages of Grodan Cress Plate Microgreens:

- The thinnest Grodan product (1 cm).
- The inert growing medium does not affect the EC of the nutrient solution.
- The exceptionally stable substrate raises pH only slightly.
- The consistent structure leads to fast and easy microgreens germination.
- The even material density allows even water distribution throughout the product.

Instructions for use:

- Place Grodan Cress Plate into a sufficiently large propagator or tray.
- Soak the rockwool slab with a nutrient solution with EC 1.5 and pH 5.5.
- Allow the material to absorb the solution and after 1 minute pour off the excess water.
- Spread the seeds evenly over the surface of Grodan Cress Plate; only then will they develop in the same way.
- Water regularly whenever the mat loses approx. 50 % of its "wet weight".
- After watering, always drain off the excess water; Grodan Cress Plate must not stand in water.
