Perlite is an inert white growing medium, suitable for sowing or as an additive to horticultural or coconut substrate. It increases the airiness of the substrate. White colour.

Perlite coarseness: 2-6mm

Use:

- perlite aerates growing substrates
- stabilises moisture in the soil
- improves the use of fertilisers and contributes to the good condition of cultivated plants
- used for sowing seeds prone to mould, for hydroponic growing, and also for protecting plants against frost.

Sowing:

- for sowing seeds, pure, sufficiently moistened perlite is used
- it is also suitable for sowing very delicate seeds.

It does not contain mould spores or soil pathogenic fungi.

Aeration of the substrate: perlite is mixed with soil in a ratio of 1 part perlite to 1-2 parts soil, depending on the needs of the cultivated plants.

Protection of plants against cold: perlite helps outdoor plants withstand frost. A substrate enriched with perlite has much higher insulating properties than ordinary soil and significantly extends the growing season. It is particularly suitable for plants in containers, but it is also important for plants grown in open ground.
