Lumatek UV Bar 30W - UV-A and UV-B supplement for the end of flowering

Lumatek UV Bar 30W is a supplementary LED light bar that you simply hang on the ZEUS fixture and add UV-A and UV-B radiation to your plants. It is used at the end of the flowering phase, when it helps to finish off crop quality. With eight UV-B and forty UV-A diodes, it delivers 100 mW UV-B and 1200 mW UV-A output and covers an area of 1.2 x 0.6 m. The LED bar has its own power supply and can be connected separately or linked with other units in a chain.

When to use the UV bar

The UV bar is used at the end of flowering - the Lumatek catalogue recommends mixing UV-B and UV-A radiation with ZEUS full-spectrum panels, starting at around 12 hours of photoperiod and reducing it gradually, at least 4 weeks before harvest. The recommended number of LED bars depends on the model: for ZEUS 300W PRO 3.1 1 piece is enough, for areas above 1.2 x 1.2 m at least 2 pieces. Using the LED bar on its own without a full-spectrum panel is not recommended.

Safety when working with UV

UV radiation can be dangerous to people. Always switch off the LED bar during installation and maintenance, do not look directly into the light, and protect both skin and eyes. Do not block airflow around the LED bar - accumulated heat shortens its lifespan.

Power supply and chain linking

The UV bar has its own 220-240 V power supply and IP65 protection, so it can withstand moisture in the grow room, and it is passively cooled without a fan. The power cable (4 m) and the daisy-chain linking cable are not included in the package and are purchased separately. You power one LED bar directly with the power cable, and link multiple LED bars in a chain with the daisy-chain cable and switch them on together.

UV, or far-red?

The UV bar finishes off the end of flowering and comes with a 1-year warranty; its shorter lifespan (L90 over 8,500 h) corresponds to occasional use in the final weeks. If, on the other hand, you want to support vegetative growth and the start of flowering, the ZEUS panels are complemented by the Far-Red bar 50W with a 730 nm peak and a 3-year warranty. These are two different supplements for different phases.
