Compact Fluorescent Lamps Spectromaster
In this section, you can find lower-priced lamps suitable for smaller dark boxes or as a light source for pre-growing or seedlings.
Compact Fluorescent Lamps (or CFL for short) are mainly used as a secondary light source for indoor plant growing. They are also used as lighting for low amounts of plants and small-scale grow tents or propagators. As they don't give off as much heat, you can put them as close as 30 cm from your plants. The lamp is easy to set up, as it already includes a built-in ballast.
When choosing a CFL, you should pick one suitable for the growth phase your plants are currently in:
- 3000 K lamp or lower for the flowering phase
- 6000 - 7000 K for growth
- 10 000 K and up made especially for cuttings
- 14 000 K for seedlings
For a more even distribution of light, use a fitting reflector.
