Product detailed description
BioBizz Light-Mix is a lightly pre-fertilised quality substrate intended primarily for growers who want to regulate nutrition themselves from the start using liquid fertilisers. Thanks to the low nutrient content in the substrate, it provides an ideal base for intensive growth of seedlings, young plants and cuttings - fertilising is needed from the very first days.
Features and use
- Low EC (1.2) - the substrate will not over-fertilise even sensitive young plants.
- Specially adjusted for optimal drainage, suitable even for automatic irrigation systems.
- Ensures rapid root development and dynamic growth.
- Suitable for growing in pots, planters and containers.
With automatic irrigation, it is important that the water properly penetrates the substrate, otherwise mould may develop.
Composition and parameters
- Composition: peat, perlite, trace elements Fe, Mn, Zn, B, Cu, Mo, Co, Se
- EC: 1.2
- pH: 6.2
- NPK: 1536 - 150 - 220 mg/l
- Package volume: 90 l
BioBizz products contain mainly natural organic elements, not mineral salts such as magnesium or sulphates, as is the case with synthetic fertilisers.
How to continue feeding
Because Light-Mix contains few nutrients, start fertilising in the first weeks. For rooting, use Root-Juice, and in the growth phase continue with Bio-Grow. If you prefer a substrate with a higher nutrient content that feeds the plant on its own for several weeks, take a look at BioBizz All-Mix. Exact doses can be found in the BioBizz dosing table.
Frequently asked questions
When should fertilising in Light-Mix begin?
From the very first days of growing - the substrate has a low EC of 1.2 and does not contain enough nutrients for a longer period, so it is necessary to fertilise with liquid fertilisers (e.g. Root-Juice for the start) right from the beginning.
What is the difference between Light-Mix and All-Mix?
Light-Mix has a low EC of 1.2 and fertilising must start immediately, whereas All-Mix is heavily pre-fertilised (EC 2.4) and feeds the plant without additional fertilising for several weeks.
Is Light-Mix suitable for automatic irrigation?
Yes, it is specially adjusted for optimal drainage. However, it is necessary to ensure that the water properly penetrates the entire substrate, otherwise mould may develop.
