Begrow® growing slab of hydrofilic rockwool (mineral wool) with dimensions 200 x 200 x 100 mm is a compact square block. It serves as a medium for one larger plant, giving it plenty of space for roots and guiding it through stable growth from the vegetative stage to harvest.

How to use
Thoroughly saturate the slab with water. Place the rooted cube with the plant on the surface so that the roots grow down into the block. The compact square is suitable when you want one plant on a separate piece of medium - for example in drip irrigation or in a run-to-waste system. Make sure excess water drains away and the roots have air.

How many plants is this slab for?
It is a compact square block for one larger plant. If you want to grow more plants in a row, choose the long slab 1000 x 150 x 75 mm.
How does it differ from a cube?
The slab has a lower density (50 kg/m3) and a chaotic fibre structure, so the roots grow evenly to the sides. It serves as a final medium for irrigation systems.
How often should I water?
The larger block holds more water, so saturate it and let the excess drain away so the roots do not remain waterlogged. We will advise you on irrigation settings.
