Adapter for lights without an RJ connector - direct connection to the driver

AC Infinity UIS Lighting Adapter Type-D is an adapter dongle that allows UIS controllers to control LED grow lights from other brands whose driver has a dimmer control wire (dim +/- wires), rather than an RJ11/12 connector. Unlike Type-A and Type-B, which connect via an RJ connector, Type-D connects directly to the light driver with bare wires. It is suitable for drivers such as Meanwell, Sosen, MOSO or Inventronics.

How the connection works

One end is a UIS male connector for the controller port, while the other end consists of bare dim +/- wires (Dimming Wire +/-) that connect directly to the light driver. It works with all LED grow lights whose driver has dim +/- cables; the specific dimming range depends on the protocol of the given driver. If the light does not have dim +/- wires but does have an RJ11/12 connector, the Type-A or Type-B adapter is more suitable, or the UIS Control Plug.

What the adapter enables

Once connected, you can programme lighting cycles, schedules and dynamic responses to temperature, humidity and VPD. With some drivers, a firmware update via the AC Infinity app may be required.
