pH Perfect Connoisseur Grow A is the separate Part A component of the premium two-part grow base from Advanced Nutrients. The Connoisseur range is aimed at experienced growers who want to get the most from the vegetative stage and are comfortable working more precisely with nutrient solution.

Important – this is only one of the two components

Connoisseur Grow is always dosed as a pair of Part A plus Part B in the same ratio. Part A alone (NPK 4-0-0) mainly supplies nitrogen and will not fully feed the plant – it needs Part B (NPK 1-2-7), which contains phosphorus and potassium. If you are still building your equipment, choose the complete Connoisseur Grow A+B pack instead. The separate 5 L pack of Part A is particularly useful as a replacement when you run out of Part A before Part B.

The 5-litre pack is a high-volume option for growers who mix a lot of solution and do not want to keep buying another bottle. What pH Perfect technology and the Connoisseur range can do

pH Perfect technology automatically brings the solution pH into the 5.5 to 6.3 range (typically around 5.6) and keeps it there for at least a week, eliminating the need for daily manual checks. This is achieved by zwitterionic chelates, which bind nutrients across a wide pH range and protect the plant from nutrient lockout. In addition to the standard range, Connoisseur adds a new generation of chelation, amino acid complexes and humic acids – which is why the manufacturer recommends it only after a year of experience.

Dosing and use

Always mix Part A together with Part B in the same ratio. During the vegetative stage, gradually increase the dose from 1 ml per litre in the first week to 4 ml per litre in the fourth week of growth. Pour the parts into the water separately and never combine them in concentrated form. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. The range is suitable for hydroponics and recirculating systems.

When and what to use it with

During the vegetative stage, supplement Connoisseur Grow with the root trio of Voodoo Juice, Piranha and Tarantula for a strong root system. Frequently asked questions

Can I use Connoisseur Grow A on its own?
No. Grow A (NPK 4-0-0) is only one of the two components and cannot nourish the plant on its own – it lacks the phosphorus and potassium from Part B (NPK 1-2-7). Both parts are dosed together in the same ratio. The separate 5 L pack of Part A makes sense as a replacement when you run out of Part A before Part B, or when you mix large volumes of solution and want to keep Part A in reserve.

Who is the Connoisseur range suitable for?
Connoisseur is a premium two-part base for experienced growers; the manufacturer recommends at least one year of experience. Compared with the standard Sensi range, it adds a new generation of chelation, amino acid complexes and humic acids. If you are just starting out, choose Sensi Grow instead. You will appreciate Connoisseur when you want to get the last few per cent of performance from your plants.

Do I need to monitor pH at all when using pH Perfect?
In most cases, no. pH Perfect technology automatically lowers and maintains the solution pH within the 5.5 to 6.3 range for at least a week, usually ten to fourteen days. You can still check the solution with a pH metre for peace of mind. The condition is to use both Part A and Part B together and mix them into water without extreme pH fluctuations.
