NFS-2 is a multifunctional control unit that can control multiple irrigation solenoids and pumps. The NFS-2 control unit can also monitor several water sensors that can measure pH, EC/PPM, temperature and a water content sensor. A new optional DFW-1 flow metre is also available, which performs multiple functions. Individual solenoids and pumps can be "linked" so that they work together, allowing multiple growing areas to be controlled by a single NFS-2 system. In combination with the optional AMP-3, WCS-1 and WCS-2 sensors and the new DFW-1 flow metre, the NFS-2 system allows the user to monitor up to 50 sensors and receive mobile notifications if the system detects a problem.

The NFS-2 system was created to allow users to customise their irrigation cycle and to be able to control irrigation events either using the digital DFM-1 flow metre, WCS-1 or WCS-2 moisture sensors, or using simple timers. Each device controlled by the NFS-2 system can have an unlimited number of irrigation "events" over 24 hours a day.
