Trichoderma that feeds roots

Terra Aquatica Trikologic is a branded culture of the fungus Trichoderma harzianum - the very first beneficial microbial inoculant to become a standard in professional greenhouse cultivation. Trichoderma lives in soil, coco and similar substrates, breaks down organic matter and releases minerals from it. This breakdown and gradual release of nutrients is the basis of organic, bioponic and aquaponic cultivation.

More than just breakdown

As Trichoderma spreads and forms colonies, it releases a whole range of substances that support plant growth - and, according to more recent research, substances that suppress pathogens in the soil. It is this combination of benefits, especially for young plants, that has made it an industry standard. Terra Aquatica also pays attention to the quality of cultures, because not all Trichoderma strains are equally viable. Trikologic complies with the European standard for organic agriculture 2008/113/CE.

How to dose Trikologic

As with all aerobic microorganisms, the better the oxygenation and the more stable the pH, temperature and humidity, the better Trikologic works. At sowing and for young plants, add 1 g to 15 to 20 l of water or nutrient solution every 6 to 8 weeks; for mature plants in soil or coco, 10 g to 150 to 200 l every 6 to 8 weeks, either into the irrigation water or directly onto the substrate. In clean hydroponics with bare roots, the fungus needs support to attach to - use a biofilter or a basket filled 80% with expanded clay and 20% with coco, suspended under the water inlet. It works best with organic nutrition; for root protection against pathogens, it is complemented by StreptoLogic.
