Torin AirFan are centrifugal fans enclosed in an insulated box that significantly reduces noise and the transfer of vibrations into the structure. The Torin impeller motor hidden in a polypropylene casing (Foam Box) or a solid box moves large volumes of air, but runs much more quietly than a bare duct fan. They are suitable anywhere extraction is heard more than it should be - in flats, basement growing rooms and commercial spaces.
How to choose
The key factor is air flow in m3/h. This is determined by the volume of the space you want to ventilate and the resistance created by the filter and ducting. The boxed design also adds a second criterion - the level of noise reduction. The better the casing insulation, the quieter the operation at the same output, which you will appreciate especially in living spaces.

Frequently asked questions
Why choose a boxed fan instead of a standard one?
The insulated box dampens motor noise and vibrations, so extraction is heard much less. It is especially worthwhile in flats and anywhere the fan runs close to living spaces.
How powerful a Torin AirFan do I need?
Choose according to the volume of the space and the resistance of the filter and ducting. The output should be enough for several air changes per hour, with a reserve for the pressure drop across the filter.
What is the Foam Box casing made of?
Polypropylene with insulating properties. It is this that provides vibration damping and quieter operation compared with an unboxed fan.
