The housing of the TD-250 fan is made of plastic. The housing consists of a mounting rail with two connectors and a motor connected to the connectors by quick-release clamps. The design allows the motor section to be removed without disconnecting the ducting.
The AC motors in the TD-160 to TD-350 fans have dual windings, enabling operation at two speeds. For AC motors with dual windings (TD 160–350), the speeds are switched in two stages using REGUL 2 or COM 2 controllers, or by changing the voltage with REB controllers (continuous control) or REV controllers (five-stage control).
The terminal box is located on the fan housing and, on some models, contains a starting capacitor.

Fans can be installed in any position. The housing must not bear mechanical stress from the ducting system. A flexible connection to the ducting must be used.
