Product detailed description
The last two weeks before harvest decide quality more than expected - and the programme should be simplified during them, not expanded. Shogun Dragon Force is a ripening preparation for the very end of flowering: one bottle that at that point replaces the bloom base and PK booster.
When and for how long
Timing is the whole product with Dragon Force. It is applied 10 to 14 days before harvest and used for 5 to 7 days, i.e. roughly one week - no longer. The dose is 4 ml per litre into the nutrient solution. According to our dosing table, it belongs in the eighth week of flowering, consistently across all three programmes - hydroponics, coco and soil. The final week before harvest is then followed by a flush with clean water, during which there are no Shogun fertilisers left.
One bottle instead of two
At the end of flowering Dragon Force replaces the bloom base and PK Warrior 9/18 - it is not added to them, it stands in for them. This is the most common mistake: letting Bloom, PK Warrior and Dragon Force run at the same time. Our table is clear on this - in the eighth week the other products end. The only product with which Dragon Force is recommended concurrently is Sumo Active Boost; its use should continue because of its yield potential.
What Dragon Force does
The preparation is based on phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and sulphur - its safety data sheet quantifies potassium dihydrogen phosphate in the 10 to 15 % range, which is the highest phosphate content in the entire Shogun range. Sulphur contributes to photosynthesis, oil formation and the plant's health. What Dragon Force does in the plant:
- stimulates the movement of calcium and carbohydrates from the roots to the fruits and flowers;
- increases the production of secondary metabolites, such as plant resin and aromatic components;
- speeds up ripening, while the increase in calcium content leads to improved quality after harvest;
- according to the Shogun catalogue, it improves the concentration of copper in tissues, which stimulates the plant's natural defence system.
In other words: it moves mass, resin and aromatic substances into the fruits at a time when they would usually be declining. The pH of the concentrate is 2.9.
Frequently asked questions
When should Dragon Force be applied?
Ten to fourteen days before the planned harvest and apply it for 5 to 7 days, i.e. roughly one week. According to our dosing table, it belongs in the eighth week of flowering in all programmes - in hydroponics, coco and soil. This is followed by the final week, when only clean water is used for flushing.
Can I use it together with PK Warrior?
No. Dragon Force replaces PK Warrior and the bloom base at the end of flowering, it is not added to them. Letting all three run at once means an unnecessarily high solution concentration. Only Sumo Active Boost is recommended concurrently, as it has a different role - it is a biostimulant, not a source of phosphorus and potassium.
How much Dragon Force should I dose?
Four millilitres per litre into the nutrient solution. The dose is the same for hydroponics, coco and soil and does not change throughout the application period. Use it for roughly one week only - it is not a product for the whole flowering period, but for its last days.
Will Dragon Force replace flushing for me?
No, flushing remains. After Dragon Force has been used up, the final week before harvest follows, when watering is done exclusively with clean water without any fertilisers. Dragon Force speeds up ripening and improves quality after harvest, but it does not replace the leaching of salts from the substrate.
Exact dosing for individual ranges can be found in the Shogun dosing table.
